The Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust Visiting Fellowship at Nottingham University is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 academic year. The deadline for application submission is 5pm GMT on the Wednesday 31 July, 2024.

The Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust will sponsor a mid-career academic or practitioner from Pakistan on an attachment to the University of Nottingham Asia Research Institute, for a period of up to two months, commencing in February 2025.  A ‘practitioner’ includes professionals from the public and private sectors, including journalists, economists, public servants and business managers, as well as university faculty members at post-doctoral level.

The beneficiary of this award will undertake a programme of research and interaction at Nottingham, assisted where necessary by the staff of the Institute.   The research topic can be chosen from a wide range of disciplines determining the current and future well-being of Pakistan but the Institute would particularly welcome applications from people working on either populism within Pakistan or regionalism/sub-nationalism within Pakistan.

The Fellowship will provide a pre-departure grant of £1,250 and a monthly stipend of £1,600 to cover costs in Nottingham. No bench fee is required. Applicants must be Pakistani nationals living in Pakistan at the time of the application.
