Event Reflection by Ben Harrison, School of Politics and International Relations, University of Nottingham.

The Taiwan Studies Programme was delighted to welcome Canny Liao and Ken K.C Yang from the Taipei Representative Office in the U.K. to inform attendees about the fantastic funding opportunities for study and research in Taiwan. These opportunities include the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship, undergraduate, masters and doctoral degree programmes, various fellowship grants, and the Youth Mobility Scheme. After two highly informative presentations, the participants used the Q&A session to ask some great questions and received very helpful and comprehensive answers from our speakers. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the briefing was held online. Despite not being able to meet in-person, I am sure that all the participants would agree that it was an insightful and thoroughly enjoyable event.
