Graduation summer 2024. Chancellor Baroness Lola Young of Hornsey OBE on stage giving speech to audienceStudents from Nottingham University Business School graduated over the weekend and celebrated their achievements with friends and family.

Before the awards were handed out, Chancellor Baroness Lola Young of Hornsey OBE addressed the audience to deliver a powerful speech and said:

“Never underestimate the power of your ideas. The world needs innovators, problem solvers, and compassionate leaders, and I'm confident that each of you has the potential to be just that. Remember the importance of collaboration. The challenges that face us as a global community are complex, nuanced, and interconnected, and the solutions require collective effort and diverse perspectives."

She continued:

"Embrace that diversity and build bridges to connect across cultures and perspectives. The strength of any community lies in its ability to work together towards shared goals. As you celebrate your achievement today, please take a moment to reflect and express gratitude. Gratitude for the opportunities, for the friendships and for the knowledge you have gained. I would also like to thank the staff and the Business School, some of whom are behind me on this stage, who have helped you achieve your success.”
