MSc Marketing students gain industry insights at Ipsos London

Ipsos, one of the world’s largest market research companies, operates in 90 markets with over 20,000 professionals.  

Industry leaders share insights 

Students engaged with an inspiring panel of industry experts who provided invaluable insights into sustainability and ethical marketing, highlighting how businesses navigate these critical issues. Speakers included: 

  • Sue Phillips - ESG global lead, Ipsos 
  • Alister Greenwood - Head of Global Ecommerce and Insights, Mondelēz International
  • Vanessa Otake - Global EDI Lead, Unilever, and  
  • Oli Chaplin - Climate and Environment Manager, NatWest Group.  

The visit encouraged students to think beyond marketing’s traditional focus on profitability and consider its broader impact on stakeholders, society, and the environment. Through real-world insights and expert discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of how sustainable and ethical marketing principles are applied in business, as well as the complexities surrounding these challenges. 

Career development  

The second half of the visit featured an engaging development session led by the Ipsos careers team, offering valuable advice on navigating the job market after graduation. 

Dr Samanthika Gallage, Assistant Professor in Marketing and the convener of the Critical Marketing module, said:
