Ioana Chioveanu is Associate Professor in Industrial Economics. She has a PhD in Economics from IDEA, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). She held academic positions in Spain and the UK, and a post-doctoral research position in the Department of Economics at University College London.

She works in theoretical industrial organization and has published in Management Science, Games and Economic Behavior, and the Journal of Industrial Economics amongst other journals. Her research has been recognized via support from Leverhulme Trust (Research Fellowship 2022-2023), the European Commission (Marie Curie Individual Fellowship), and a young economist essay award from the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics.


Areas of Expertise
Theoretical industrial organization, oligopoly pricing, competition and consumer protection policy, information economics, behavioral economics, regulation, digital markets, applied microeconomics theory.
