Claire joined the ICCSR as Assistant Professor in Responsible and Sustainable Business in August 2018, having completed her PhD at the centre earlier that year. Her ESRC-funded doctoral research examined the ways in which consumers construct their agency to act ethically at different stages of the tourism experience.
Prior to her PhD, Claire obtained a MSc in Corporate Social Responsibility and BA (Hons) in Management Studies from Nottingham University Business School.

Claire is Deputy Module Convenor of BUSI3182 Business Ethics and Sustainability.
Claire's research interests centre around consumer agency in relation to responsible consumption, consumer ethics, consumer resilience, and the market-consumer interface.
Her past and present research focusses on the contexts of responsible tourism, modern slavery, consumption in crisis, and social care.
