His research is dominated by two themes. One is the role of multinational enterprises in the process of emerging economies' integration into the global economy and the other concerns innovation and knowledge spillovers. I am particularly interested in the intersection of the two themes, and one example is the project on the role of internationalization in explaining innovation performance.

Current projects include antecedents and performance implications of internationalization by emerging market enterprises, antecedents and performance implications of R&D internationalization and innovation strategy of emerging market enterprises.
