Kim Cuong Ly graduated from Bangor University for a MSc degree in Banking and Finance (Distinction) (2012) and University of Glasgow for a PhD degree in Accounting and Finance (2017). She was awarded Adam Smith Business School Prize for PhD excellence 2017.
Prior to this appointment, she worked as a lecturer in Finance at Swansea University. She achieved the best researcher in Finance award (2018) and Staff Research award (2019) in Accounting and Finance department, Swansea University. She was nominated to be a representative of Accounting and Finance department in the Central Panel assessors of School of Management in Swansea University?s Impact Mini-REF 2019.
She published in Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, Research in International Business and Finance and Journal of Multinational Financial Management. She was awarded FY 2018 JSPS International Fellowships for Research in Japan (2018) and Nagoya IAR (Institute for Advanced Research) Short-term fellowship program (2019).
