Dr Luc Muyldermans is an Associate Professor in Operations Management at the Nottingham University Business School, where he teaches Supply Chain Management and Optimisation courses. Prior to joining NUBS in September 2004, he was a post-doctoral fellow at INSEAD Business School (France), where he conducted research in the area of reverse logistics and worked on related, industry projects. He obtained his PhD from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) with a dissertation on vehicle routing, district design, and location for arc traversal problems. He has presented his research at several international conferences and published his results in leading academic journals, including Operations Research, Interfaces, The Journal of the Operational Research Society and European Journal of Operational Research. His research interests are optimisation and modelling, particularly related to vehicle routing, district design, and location as well as to problems in the area of reverse logistics and closed-loop supply chain management.
