Mabel's research is situated within the broader areas of work, organisation, and (in)equality. Her work focuses on how constructions of 'otherness' shape the organisation and experience of work and employment. Much of her research foregrounds the voices of those underrepresented in mainstream organisational discourse, contributing to critical conversations on 'difference,' often from intersectional perspectives.
Additionally, Mabel is increasingly interested in exploring issues of (in)equality through the lens of organisational theory, particularly in examining how everyday organisational routines, rituals, and practices perpetuate privilege and/or oppression in organising.
