Sudeshna is an Assistant Professor in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. She read Psychology (Hons) at Delhi University followed by an MSc in Applied Social Psychology at Bath University. She completed her PhD from the School of Management at Bath University focussing on the theoretical construct of Psychological Contracts within the context of outsourced offshored call centres in India. She is an interdisciplinary scholar with special interests in Work Psychology, well-being at work and human resources practices focussed on managing employee psychological contracts, particularly in the context of worker precarity within countries in the developing world. Her work is published in Human Resource Management and Work Psychology Journals.
Before starting work here at Nottingham Business School, she held positions at Aston University, Cardiff University, and Imperial College London (Tanaka Business School). She specialises in teaching around themes of critical issues in employment and the consequent psychological toll on individuals and groups, the psychological recovery process amongst healthy working adults, inter alia.
Alongside this, Sudeshna holds an adjunct assistant professor role at Trinity College Dublin, where she has research collaborations with work psychology and HRM scholars.
