Dr Zoya Saher is teaching associate in Finance. She received her Ph.D. in Finance from University of Surrey. She holds a Masters degree in finance from Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelors degree in economics (Hons.) from University of Delhi.
Areas of ExpertiseZoya's primary research area is in the field of Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance in the UK as well as emerging markets. In particular, she specialise in using natural experimental set-up, e.g., introduction of new law or reform that may affect corporate financial decisions like capital structure or investment which in turn may affect firm performance. Her research is primarily empirical and she specialises in identifying causal impact of law/reform on corporate financial decisions using 2SLS-IV, fixed effects models as well as difference in difference methods.
