Antony Rhodes, Managing Director of Arc Communications, completed the Help to Grow: Management course at Nottingham University Business School in 2025.
The Help to Grow: Management course was launched to support small and medium-sized businesses in the UK, equipping business leaders with knowledge and skills to help their organisations to develop, grow and thrive.
Antony enrolled on the course following a recommendation, seeking to develop his business and increase its turnover.
Established over 15 years ago, Arc Communications’ company vision was to create a more cost-effective and efficient way for companies to get the mobile phones and communication services they need.
The result is an innovative, independently-managed service provider which offers a quick but personalised approach, and which is trusted by hundreds of organisations across the UK.
Reflecting on the Help to Grow: Management course, Antony said:
"Every section was useful to give me the relevant tools to formulate and give the right structure to my business growth plan.
"Each section has given me pointers which have turned into action points which are now on the growth roadmap. It has given me a greater understanding and confidence in some areas of businesses and given me reassurance in other areas where I was already doing well."
Taking part in the course also led Antony towards making some big changes to the company:
Another impact of the course is that we have changed our business name from Arc Mobiles to Arc Communications and have taken on new staff to sell more new products as part of our growth strategy. I believe that we will double our turnover and profit in the next couple of years by putting our new ideas and action points into practice.
