Qinghai University case study
Nottingham University Business School's Executive Education team worked with Qinghai University to develop a custom programme for its staff.
In 2022 Qinghai University, China approached Nottingham University Business School to develop and deliver a customised Executive Education online programme to equip its staff to further their international practices in teaching and communication in a multicultural environment. An additional programme was developed and delivered in 2023 focusing on entrepreneurship and delivered through the Ingenuity Process.
“We chose the University of Nottingham because it is a world-class, international university, with a reputation for inclusivity and openness,” explained Ping Lu, Director of Foreign Affairs at Qinghai University.
The programme was shaped around the University of Nottingham’s Ingenuity Process - which provides a structured method of developing creative and innovative solutions to business problems. The course was run online with a mix of taught sessions and group sessions.
“The Ingenuity Process inspired everyone and also expanded our ideas for innovative teaching in the future,” said Ping Lu. “The participants also loved the group discussion session as it provided opportunities to communicate with others and clarify any points that they did not immediately comprehend.”
“This kind of online training programme provides an international platform to exchange educational ideas as well as cultures and helps broaden participants’ horizons. It is an efficient way to push forward the internationalisation of our university. We were delighted in the programme delivered by the Executive Education team at Nottingham University Business School and look forward to the next collaboration.”
