The Knowledge for Public Health (KNOW-PH) team, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), is dedicated to advancing public health knowledge mobilisation. It aims to bring NIHR-generated research evidence closer to local and national public health decision-making.

Research summary

Background:

Knowledge for Public Health (KNOW-PH) aims to develop, design and deliver knowledge mobilisation in local settings for the benefit of public health and to reduce health inequalities. We will do this through an approach to public health knowledge mobilisation that is:

  • driven by coproduction
  • responsive to policy and practice need
  • learning- and action-oriented
  • evidence and theory informed
