This FREE seminar explores the role of philanthropy as catalyst for social innovation.
Promises of transformation and change are integral to philanthropic organisations. However, the extent to which philanthropy can encourage and realise significant innovations is widely debated. This seminar critically debates the impact and successes of philanthropy and explores how we can develop better knowledge-sharing and learning across the field. We warmly welcome practitioners from across the civil society sector, policymakers and academics to participate in the seminar.
The event forms part of the seminar series 'Philanthropy to the rescue? Exploring the opportunities, strengths and challenges of philanthropy'. The series is funded by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), grant reference ES/M002578/1.
