The University of Nottingham Malaysia is proud to host 'Nottingham in the City' - an exclusive panel discussion and professional networking event for Nottingham alumni and business contacts.
The University has successfully hosted similar events in London at prestigious company venues including Standard and Poor's, Berenberg Bank and PwC, but this is the first time the 'Nottingham in the City' has been held outside the UK.
We are delighted to welcome prominent Malaysian businessman, entrepreneur and Nottingham alumnus Dato' Dr. Geoffrey Tan. Dr. Tan is Founder and CEO of GM Capital Ltd. a major private investment company that undertakes and executes a whole range of activities in the area of residential and commercial real estate i.e. design, engineering, construction and trade. Dr. Tan is also at the helm steering Pascal Maritime Group in its mission to become a leading maritime services provider in Asia and Africa. With over 30 years hands-on experience, Dr. Tan is involved in a diverse range of businesses in Malaysia and other countries including financial services, property development, hospitality, oil palm plantations, maritime industries, and infrastructures. Dr. Tan received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nottingham and completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance with the University of Malaya. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.
