Business School confirms its position in the world's elite

25 June 2013

Nottingham University Business School has retained its top 40 position among an elite group of business education institutions in the 2013 Financial Times Top Global Masters in Finance ranking published on Monday 24 June.

The ranking surveys alumni who graduated three years ago - in this case, the School’s MSc Finance and Investment students who graduated in 2010.

The School scored in the top ten on a measure of how well alumni had achieved their aims after graduation, indicating a high level of satisfaction with their career progress so far.

Professor Martin Binks, Dean of Nottingham University Business School said: “We are delighted that our MSc in Finance and Investment has been ranked in the global top 40 by the Financial Times, given the highly competitive nature of this ranking. It is gratifying to see the benefits of our continuing improvement to the overall experience we offer our MSc students."

The ranking takes into account alumni salaries and their assessment of the Masters programme and is intended to give an independent assessment of pre-experience MSc programmes in finance and an insight into the schools that teach them and their alumni.

The methodology includes an online survey of staff and student diversity, current MSc Finance and Investment students, and the percentage of students employed three months after graduation.
