Description

A workshop, held jointly with the Faculties of Arts and Engineering, to discuss how IT Services can create an IT environment that supports world-changing research, and responds in an agile manner to support research innovations. This workshop will particularly focus on where IS can add value to research funding proposals.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • long-term support and maintenance of digital research outputs
  • support and guidance around open access, research data management, data encryption, data protection, and other policies
  • security of digital research solutions
  • research computing equipment purchases and long-term contracted support of hardware and software
  • user interface and audience experience/behaviour consultation
  • … and others!

We’d very much like to hear from you about any and all areas where you feel IS could provide extra service in supporting research bids.

In addition, if you’ve got a topic that you think should be on the list, please email Erin.Snyder@nottingham.ac.uk in advance of the meeting.

Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided. Please book your place for catering purposes.
