Description

A bid writing boot camp for mid-career researchers* interested in applying for Fellowships this year. This all-day event will take place on Monday 1st July and will include bid-writing time in addition to workshop sessions led by academics with success in previous Fellowship schemes. The Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship scheme and the British Academy Mid-career Fellowship scheme both have deadlines in the autumn (usually early November for the Leverhulme Trust and September/October for the British Academy, tbc).

Outcomes for this event include:

  • Guidance on the internal process for each scheme
  • Identifying your best fit to available schemes
  • Help and support with your first draft on the day
  • CAS Research and Business Development Officers will work with on developing your application through to the point of completion
  • Costings support and advice on the day and through to submission

*Please note that as a guideline, mid-career can apply to researchers who are within 5-15 years from the award of a doctorate: the Leverhulme Trust considers applications to their Fellowship Scheme from applicants who are 5 years post-PhD and the British Academy defines mid-career as normally no more than 15 years from the award of a doctorate. However, eligibility varies from scheme to scheme so please do be in touch with a CAS RBDO if you wish to check your eligibility.
