No technical skills are needed to participate in the course or the workshops--just interest! The course is optional and training points are not awarded.
A new short course which will give an overview of new, emerging and established digital methods for individual researchers and research teams. Topics covered will include what research “data” might mean in an arts and humanities context, visualising research, marking up texts, designing personal databases of research material, using location information in research, and more.
This first session will include a lecture and discussion. It will be followed by eight hands-on workshops in Spring 2014, held in conjunction with the University of Leicester. More details about these workshops are available through the link above.
