Launch of the CAS Digital Humanities Seminar Series:
Our inaugural event will be a lecture by Professor Andrew Prescott, Head of the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College London, on “Digital Transformations: Some Historical Perspectives”.

Professor Prescott is currently the Head of the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College London, as well as being the Leadership Fellow for the AHRC’s Digital Transformations theme and Chair of the Network of Expert Centres (a federation of digital humanities centres). Previously, he was a Curator in the Department of Manuscripts at the British Library, directed the Centre for Research into Freemasonry at the University of Sheffield’s Humanities Research Institute, and directed the Humanities Advanced Technology and Information Institute (HATII) at the University of Glasgow.

The organiser of the CAS Digital Humanities Seminar Series is Dr Erin Snyder, Digital Humanities Manager for the Faculty of Arts.

The lecture will begin at 1:30pm, and will be followed by refreshments in the Highfield House Cloisters.
