IAVE talk

Douglas Grindlay spoke at the Annual Meeting of the International Association of Veterinary Editors (IAVE) in Split, Croatia on 12th June 2014. This followed the publication of the results of our survey of veterinary journal Editors-in-Chief about reporting guidelines (Link to paper).

The talk was part of a session on peer review and was entitled “Reporting guidelines in Veterinary Journals: how are they used now and can they inform the peer review process?” Topics covered included the need for journals to enforce reporting guidelines as well as endorse them, and a discussion of how reporting guidelines could aid peer reviewers, including the use of checklists.

More information is on the IAVE website.
