The Functional Materials and Nanosciences group has developed a strong profile in the application of a wide range of functional materials including:

• micro- and meso-porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for gas (energy) storage and capture
• solid state catalysis
• the design of novel carbon-based nanomaterials
• biocompatible polymers for drug delivery.
