This event is aimed at demystifying artificial intelligence (AI) for non-academic audiences, including the public, policymakers, and professionals.
Hosted as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science 2024, this session combines insightful panel discussions, practical examples, and an interactive workshop designed to explore how AI can enhance daily tasks and decision-making across various sectors.
Key topics will include:
- an introduction to AI concepts;
- real-world applications in both the private and public sectors; and
- a discussion on the ethical implications and regulations surrounding AI.
Attendees will also have the chance to engage in a hands-on exercise using ChatGPT, followed by a final discussion and networking opportunity.
