VCCC team members will attend this policy webinar.
In light of numerous ‘wicked’ societal problems such as poverty, inequality, homelessness and rough-sleeping among many others, the event will interrogate the new UK Government's mission-led approach to crafting solutions by asking:
- what does local government require to boost its own capacity to be prepared and scale up to radical place-based transformation moonshots in the future?
- how will the new Government’s plans for devolution and local growth support the desired direction of travel for continued local public service improvement and place-making strength?
The policy webinar will be informed by emerging findings from the “Heart of the matter: Getting to grips with whole place transformation” esearch project which has sought, through extensive dialogue with public service directors and place-makers, and independent place research, to ascertain the appetite for holistic service and place-making.
The intention of this major thought leadership study is to detail emerging good practice in whole place service transformation and to devise a modern philosophy and ethos for local delivery that will endure through the coming decade of necessary change and hope-filled reform.
The webinar discussion will discuss the findings of the specified research into the future direction of place-based public service reform.
