Description

The Centre for Research into Ideas and the Study of Political Ideologies (CRISPI) is delighted to be hosting a very special in-person event on Wednesday 6th April, from 4-5.30pm at A01, Highfield House (University Park Campus).

For this, we will be inviting Dr Kate Vredenburgh (London School of Economics) to present an exciting talk entitled Alienation and the AI-Driven Workplace. You can read the abstract below:

"In this talk, Dr Kate Vredenburgh will argue for workplace and economic democracy from the value of being able to develop an appropriate practical orientation. By examining how AI has increased opacity in the workplace, and attendant worker alienation, we can come to grips with the nature and moral significance of developing an appropriate practical orientation. Workplace and economic democracy are valuable institutional forms to overcome that opacity."

This event is free to attend, no registration required. All are welcome.

Please contact Saul Crombie for more information.
