Launched in Nottingham by Vice-Chancellor Professor Shearer West and her Adelaide counterpart, Professor Peter Høj, the alliance sees our long-standing friendship develop into a strategic global partnership.

The Adelaide-Nottingham Alliance has been set up to deepen engagement between the two universities. The aims is to increase the impact of our research and further opportunities for international collaboration, while developing the next generation of students with a truly global mindset.

The alliance has launched a seed fund to encourage research collaborations between the two universities. Researchers from both universities are invited to submit proposals for collaborations that align to one of the alliance’s strategic themes:

• Global Food Systems
• Intelligent Health
• Sustainable Futures

The deadline for applications to the fund is midnight GMT UK time, Monday 10 April 2023.
