What is the NSS?

The NSS is an opportunity for all final-year undergraduate students in the UK to provide feedback on their university experience. It’s commissioned by the Office for Students and managed by independent market research company Ipsos. Individual responses are confidential, and your feedback won’t be identifiable.

What will I be asked?

The NSS will feature questions about your university experience and university life, including the teaching on your course, your wellbeing, assessments and feedback, academic support, learning resources and student voice.

We want to know your honest thoughts - what you enjoyed and what you think we could improve. This is your chance to make lasting change to our university.

What happens to the results?

Results are published on the Office for Students and Discover Uni websites, to help prospective students make decisions about where and what to study.

We also use the results to make improvements to the student experience at Nottingham.

How do I take part?

In early February you will receive an email from Ipsos inviting you to complete the survey directly. They will also follow up throughout the survey period with reminders to complete by email and text message. Once you’ve filled in the survey, Ipsos won’t contact you again.

All responses to the NSS are anonymised and can help us make changes to our teaching, resources, facilities and the student experience here at UoN.
