Digital and Technology Services are excited to announce a major enhancement to the Wide Format Print Service, set to launch on Monday 23 September. Managed by a new external provider, CDS, this upgraded service will be available in time for the start of session and promises to significantly improve your printing experience.
There are a number of key features to the new service, including:
- Advanced technology - existing on-site plotters are being replaced with cutting-edge off-site equipment. Expect top-notch prints with AI-driven pre-flight checks to minimise errors and ensure high-quality results
- New draft option - a new ‘draft’ printing option is being introduced that is both affordable and practical for non-final prints to save on costs while still achieving quality results for preliminary work
- In-person intervention - each print job will undergo in-person checks before production. The supplier will contact students directly if they notice any issues to help you resolve them quickly and ensure accuracy
- Twice-weekly delivery - deliveries will take place twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays to three key locations: George Green Library, Hallward Library and Djanogly Learning Resource Centre. To collect your printing please bring your Student ID with you to your selected library
- Online ordering portal - the new online portal simplifies the process of uploading and managing your print jobs with a user-friendly design
