As the UK's student mental health charity, Student Minds aims to empower you to look after their own mental health, support others and create change.
Student Minds Nottingham is a campaign group that works on behalf of Student Minds to promote positive wellbeing and mental health whilst you're studying at UoN.
There are two courses offering support:
Positive Minds - undergraduate students
Positive Minds is a weekly peer-support group that aims to create a non-judgemental, pro-recovery space where students can talk with one another about their experiences of low mood and anxiety.
Sessions previously ran every Thursday but have not yet been confirmed for the new academic year. For more information, visit the SU page or the Student Minds Facebook page.
ADAPT Together - postgraduate students
Although postgraduate students are welcome to attend Positive Minds meetings, the topics discussed are not always relevant. Therefore, ADAPT Together has been created especially for postgraduate students.
This peer mentoring scheme provides training to give you skills to set up and facilitiate your own peer support groups where you can work together to solve common issues, share best practices and learn from each other's experiences during your studies.
Online training has been arranged for 2.30-4pm on Friday 25 September and will take place on Microsoft Teams. To book a place, click 'attending' on the ADAPT page on Teams.
For further information, please enrol on Moodle.
