Support our Three Minute Thesis champion

Wednesday, 18 December 2024
Vote for Ungku Maryam Jamilah Ungku Mohsin from Malaysia’s School of Pharmacy.

The U21 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition is a unique opportunity for research students to sharpen their presentation and communication skills while showcasing their work on a global stage. Participants distil complex research into a compelling three-minute talk, enhancing their ability to engage non-specialist audiences—an essential skill for securing funding and influencing policy.

This year, Ungku Maryam Jamilah Ungku Mohsin from our Malaysia Campus is representing the university with her presentation, 'Microplastic (un)masked', which explores the respiratory health impacts of microplastics from disposable face masks.

Each year, the University of Nottingham representative for this competition is selected through a Tri-Campus competition led by the Researcher Academy. This competition strengthens our tri-campus community by connecting researchers across our Nottingham, Malaysia, and China campuses. It also fosters collaboration within the U21 network, raises the profile of researchers at Nottingham and opens doors to new partnerships.

Presentations are judged by an international panel of industry and academic experts.

Show your support by voting for your favourite in the People’s Choice category on the U21 website by Monday 6 January.
