Sutton Bonington Biodiversity Group will be holding a tree guard removal session at the Diamond Wood – Pasture Lane site on Monday 8 May at 2pm – 4pm.

Tree guards were originally put in place to protect the younger trees when they were planted, but these are no longer needed. We are now working through to remove them and make it safer for wildlife and tidier for visitors.

If you’d like to volunteer, you can join us at the Diamond Jubilee Wood car park at 2pm. We’d recommend bringing gloves and something to help remove the tree guards (such as scissors), but these can also be provided along with refreshments.
