Biography

Before re-joining the School of Economics as a Teaching Associate in 2024, Aisha worked as a Research Fellow at the Rights Lab after completing her PhD (2017-2022). She was also a WBG Africa Fellow/Consultant at the World Bank (2021-2024), a Graduate Teaching Associate/Fellow at the Nottingham School of Economics (2018-2022), and a Lecturer at two Nigerian Universities (2013-2017).

Expertise Summary

Her expertise includes Development Economics and Applied Microeconomics, with interests in health outcomes, social protection, welfare and livelihoods of minoritized/vulnerable populations in the Global South (i.e., people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, women and migrants).
