Description

Disability Recognition Month

Speaker to be confirmed

Colleagues from across the university are invited to an informal meeting of colleagues experiencing, or experienced in, caring for children/young people with mental health issues.

As carers’ champions in School of Education and Nottingham University Business School, colleagues have shared with us the challenges caring for children/young people with mental health issues.  These colleagues are under immense pressure navigating everyday demands of work and life in general while also caring for their child(ren)/young person(s) experiencing mental health issues. The emotional stress is clear and is leaving a wellbeing challenge for them.

The event will be launched by an as yet unidentified colleague with expertise in the area of children’s/young people’s mental health. The event will then involve some workshopping around wellbeing and how the attendees would like to continue to meet/ support each other and discussions over refreshments.

Lunch and refreshments will be available
