ESRC Seminar Series

An Inter-disciplinary Inquiry into the Nature of Resilience in Teachers: Retention and Effectiveness in Times of Change

This series of four seminars will bring together scholar-practitioners from higher education, schools, social work, occupational health and policy organisations. The series aims to build new research and evidence informed knowledge about the nature of and influences on resilience in teachers’ different life and work contexts which will be able to be applied to policies and practices in relation to teaching standards and teacher wellbeing. The series will be led by Professor Christopher Day and Dr Qing Gu (School of Education, University of Nottingham), Professor Tom Cox and Professor Amanda Griffiths (Institute of Work, Health and Organisations, University of Nottingham) and Professor Anne Edwards (Department of Education, University of Oxford).
