The Clay Transformations exhibition which was held recently at the Institute of Mental Health, Jubilee Campus was a world first, that is to say, the first time an in-depth research project examining the therapeutic effects of working with clay for people suffering with mental health problems, has culminated in a public exhibition. The exhibition features examples of works from the workshops, as well as information about the outcomes of the research.
We are now delighted to announce that the exhibition will be relocating to the Aspidal Gallery at Rufford Abbey Country Park. It will be on display from 15th June to 26th July which will coincide with the Earth and Fire International Ceramic Fair taking place at Rufford on 26th, 27th and 28th June. Clay Transformations, which is part of the Creative Practice as Mutual Recovery Programme (AHRC), has also produced a project video which was previewed at the IMH exhibition launch (shown in the picture).
