Innovations to Transform Teaching Practice

On 25 February 2020, the World Bank held an 'Innovations to transform teaching practices' event in the US to discuss the lessons learned from applying Teach to over 10,000 classrooms. The event featured a discussion on how to move beyond diagnostics to improve support to teachers and ensure learning for all. The event was opened by Global Director, Jaime Saavedra, and included a moderated panel where several experts discussed how policymakers can most effectively improve teaching practices in low- and middle-income countries. 

At the event Professor Roisin Corcoran discussed a review paper of social and emotional learning programs the need to build a culture of evidence in teaching and teacher preparation to inform policy and practice.
