Dr Liam Maloy was invited to speak on a panel at the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM) biennial global conference, hosted by the US branch (IASPM-US) in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota (USA). The conference’s theme was “Popular Music in Crisis,” and the programme featured over 300 distinct presentations, plenaries, and workshops.
Dr Maloy is a Senior Research Research Fellow and a member of the Centre for Research in Arts, Creativity and Literacy. His PhD research focussed on music for children and families and he continues to research in this area with a specific interest in educational/curriculum-based music.
