The School of Education and English (EDEN) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science (FHSS), University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China will host the Ningbo office of the UNESCO Chair in International Education and Development.
The official announcement will be made on 20 March 2024 during the event on ‘Women Transcending the Challenges of Gender'. Though this event is focused on gender and inequality, other aspects pertaining to quality education (SDG4) are important and will be included in future events, for example:
- international partnership
- digital technology
- climate change/sustainability education
- internationalisation
- wellbeing
- migrant integration and language education
- gender and other inequalities
- aboriginal and indigenous communities
- forced migration
- TVET
- educational leadership
- teacher education
- open education
- early childhood education
- further education and adult and lifelong education
This will enable experts from all fields of education to come together and share their knowledge and experiences so as to create an awareness and to spark conversations and trigger research in these areas in support of the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
