School of Education staff presenting at ASE Conference

The annual Association for Science Education conference takes place at the University of Nottingham on 9-12 January 2025.

Colleagues from the School of Education will be leading sessions on 9 January as follows:

• Professor Shaaron Ainsworth - Frontier science: Drawing to learn, teach and assess in science. Shaaron is Convenor of the Learning Sciences Research Institute.
  
  
• Professor Andy Noyes will be presenting a keynote speech: Mathematics (and the science curriculum) to 18. Andy is Director of the Observatory for Mathematical Education.
  
  
• Helen Bowhay and Jo Hancock will form part of a panel looking at how research influences initial teacher education. Helen is our Director of Initial Teacher Education, overseeing our primary and secondary PGCE courses and a member of the Researching Inclusion and Social Justice in and through Education Centre, and Jo leads the Secondary PGCE Science course.
