Professor Juliet Thondhlana, Professor Christopher Day, and Dr Yuwei Xu were invited to Hangzhou to celebrate the signing of a new Memorandum of Agreement the University of Nottingham and Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU). This partnership will particularly focus on research and teaching collaborations in special and inclusive education, following the launch of a new National Centre for Autism Research at ZJNU.
New research projects are being developed by colleagues at both universities, and a special issue on culturally-relevant teacher education for Special and Inclusive Education is being prepared. The special issue will be guest edited by Dr Anne Emerson and Dr Imene Kassous from the University of Nottingham and two colleagues from ZJNU, including their Head of College of Child Development and Education.
During the visit, each of our School of Education colleagues gave a talk on their specialisms to ZJNU staff and students. The talks were highly received and showcased the world-leading research at the School of Education.
