Biography

I have extensive experience as a language teacher and as a teacher educator. I have taught English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Spanish to a wide variety of students in the UK and abroad. I have also undertaken teaching, mentoring and assessment in various postgraduate courses where I have facilitated teachers' learning of general principles of education, educational management and research.

My qualifications include a DELTA and an MA in English Language Teaching (ELT) from Nottingham Trent University and at the moment I am undertaking post-graduate studies for the Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD) at the University of Nottingham.

I work as a part-time Assistant tutor in the School of Education where I support newly qualified and/or experienced teachers who are undertaking the Postgraduate Certificate in Education International (PGCEi). I currently work on the Nottingham cohort [Nottingham 4 and 6] but have also worked with the PGCEi Dubai cohort [Dubai 7]. In addition to this, I teach ESOL to refugees, asylum seekers and settled migrants with limited formal schooling in a local college.

Current Research
