Biography

Inga is a Research Fellow at the Observatory for Mathematical Education. Prior to joining the University of Nottingham, she completed her PhD in Social Policy at the University of Oxford, focusing on the school-to-work transitions of British (STEM) graduates, and how they are shaped by gender and family background. She has also obtained an MSc in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Policy Science, from Leiden University College, The Hague.

Alongside her PhD, Inga worked on a research project investigating the schooling and social origin of elite groups in Britain, including Fellows of the Royal Society. She also contributed to a range of EDI initiatives at the University of Oxford, focusing on graduate access in particular.

Inga's broad research interests lie in (STEM) education and social and economic inequalities, with a particular focus on social origin.
