A single motor drives the carousel mechanism, which consists of four weekly trays (based on two doses a day) that rotate in morning and evening intervals and in a sequential manner. This allows the medication to be stored for a month without having to be refilled in between. When the dispenser has finished for the month, the removable trays provide convenient access to the medications and allow for seamless refills.
