SWISH - A Portable Basketball Passing Machine

SWISH! A user-centric design aimed towards fulfilling the players’ goals whilst freeing them from the limitations and frustrations of individual basketball training.

SWISH is made to enhance the players training by replacing the absent second player during solo sessions. Its functionality relies on a singular rotating wheel mechanism which launches a basketball to the user, replicating an in-play chest pass. Engineered with advanced features such as a hand tracking system, the device recognises when the user is ready to receive the ball and then performs the pass. This enhances the players experience and enables their freedom on court and their decision making. Moreover, the player is given the opportunity to explore a range of built in drills with short demo videos, through the machines interface. SWISH is a product made for its convenient on-the-go use. With its compact and portable design, the machine can be conveniently taken to any indoor or outdoor court. Its minimised size allows for the products easy storing in any home without taking up unnecessary space.

SWISH – made for individual basketball training

Through the players perspective:

When arrived on the desired court, the user rolls the machine onto court using its expandable handle. The machine is then turned on using the switch and the user selects their ideal training setting. The machine gets placed onto the location indicated on the screen, and the ball gets put into the machine from the back using the metal tracks. When ready, the player raises’ their hand, palm facing forward, and signals the hand tracker. The machine activates the pass, and the player takes a shot before retrieving the ball and placing it back into the machine.

ELEVATE YOUR PERFORMANCE, ONE PASS AT A TIME.
