Biographical details

A diplomat and poet, born in Colombia on 12 June 1783. He wrote “A mi idolatrado hija Manuelita”. His son, José Eusebio, lived with him from 1828-30 after Antonio José became blind. He died on 30 November 1830. (Ardila, 32)

He married Nicolasa Ibáñez. Monsalve describes him as "very royalist". (Monsalve, 112)
