Biographical details

The sister of Simon Bolívar and María Antonia Bolívar. In November 1821 she was invited to a banquet at the palace to celebrate Bolívar's birthday. There was to be music, a masquerade, and in the evening, a magnificent dance. A poem in praise of Bolívar would be read out. (Gaceta de Caracas, 15/11/1821, p.3.)

Bolívar awarded her a monthly pension of 150 pesos after independence. (Monsalve, 264)
