Biographical details
From Lima, she wrote a letter to San Martín that was signed by Las Patriotas that assured that if men were tired of fighting women would take over and complete the mission. This letter was intercepted and given to the Viceroy. Arnao and others were imprisoned, first in jail and then in a hospital. She was awarded the Orden del Sol by San Martín.
