From Venezuela, she was the sister of General Leurecio Silva and gave "important services" to the independence cause for the 1817 campaigns. (Monsalve, 80)
In November 1817 Bolívar wrote orders for her to be given "una ración" daily. He described her as a ciudadana. (Monsalve, 255)
